What To Expect

Welcome New Patients

We would like to thank you for your interest in becoming a part of our dental family!  Our practice is currently accepting new patients.  Our team is committed to helping you achieve lifelong oral health.  Do you have any questions?  Would you like to take a tour of our office or speak with our staff?  We would love to meet you.

Getting to know your dental team on a personal level is important because being able to trust their decisions is crucial to your success. Exceptional dentistry is more than just excellent clinical skills and state-of-the-art technology.  Establishing lasting relationships with all our patients is important to us.

Your first visit is designed to be an information-gathering visit for both you and your doctor.  This means that you may or may not receive your cleaning on your first visit.  We are committed to providing the time needed for your dental cleaning without rushing, even if that includes another cleaning visit.  In addition, dental findings will be explained to you either at this visit or a subsequent consultation appointment, depending on the complexity.

 Your initial exam will:

  • Last approximately 2 hours, depending on your condition and needs

  • Include necessary x-rays, photographs of your teeth and smile, and a digital impression of your teeth

  • Include a review of your medical and dental conditions

  • Include an oral cancer screening

  • Include a detailed analysis of each tooth and your gum tissue

  • Include a complete evaluation of your bite and jaw joint

Financial Arrangements:

In order to provide the highest quality of care, we have payment options for you to choose from.  A qualified member of our staff will be happy to assist you with this.

To ensure quality service, we do ask that the patient portion be paid at the time of service.  Your patient care coordinator will provide any and all options available to you to make that payment.

Each patient will be provided an estimate to the best of our abilities for any procedure needed, but this estimate is not a guarantee.

A 48-hour cancellation notice is required for any appointment to avoid a fee.

New Patient Paperwork:

Welcome! Our team looks forward to providing you with exceptional and compassionate dentistry. To provide you with outstanding service, we would like to get to know more about you and your current state of health. We ask that you download, print, and fill out our new patient paperwork prior to arriving at your first visit. Please remember to bring them with you when you come in.

If you are unable to complete the new patient paperwork ahead of time, we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to you or your child’s appointment to fill them out.

Appointment Cancellations and “No Show” Policy:

Your appointment time has been specifically reserved for you. We make every effort to confirm your appointment 1 month, 1 week, and 1 day in advance.

If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must do so within 48 hours (two business days) of your appointment time.

Costs:

The cost of treatment depends on the type of procedures and complexity of the patient’s needs. Insurance coverage also varies, and depends on your specific plan’s policies and benefits. You will have a chance to discuss costs and payment options before treatment begins.

We accept most insurance plans, and will file the necessary paperwork with your insurance company. If you wish, we can also provide you with a pre-treatment estimate that can help you determine how much will be covered by your plan.

We work hard to make dental care affordable and to ensure that you’re getting the most coverage possible from your insurance company. We also offer credit and financing options for patients without insurance or whose procedures are not covered.

Dental Insurance:

We bill all dental insurance programs, including non-managed care, indemnity (traditional), and PPOs. We will prepare all necessary forms for your dental benefits, but we remind you that your specific policy is an agreement between you and your insurance policy. Policies can change, and employers can switch providers or levels of coverage, which can affect the amount of your bill.

Please keep in mind that you are responsible for the amount not covered by your insurance. If you have questions about what your responsibility might be, our staff will be happy to submit a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company to provide an idea of your out-of-pocket costs.

Payment Policy:

The patient portion of your bill (the amount not covered by insurance) is due at the time service is performed, unless a payment was made in advance. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), as well as CareCredit financing. To pay with CareCredit, you must apply for it and be approved before treatment begins.

Visa MasterCard American Express Discover

Snow and Inclement Weather Policy:

If the weather makes it unsafe for patients and staff to travel to our office, we may choose to close the office for part or all of the day. If you cannot make it to your appointment because of inclement weather, or are unsure whether our office will be open, please call as soon as possible.
