Not only will we do whatever is necessary to help you feel at home in the comforts of our dental office, you can rest assured that you are getting the best dental care available in today’s dentistry. Each member of our talented team is trained and experienced with the most advanced dental techniques and cutting-edge equipment. To further your comfort, we proudly implement the following technologies:

The iTero Element Scanner digital impression system eliminates the need for unpleasant traditional dental impressions. With our iTero Element Scanner, we can digitally capture a detailed, 3D model of your teeth and gums and customize a treatment plan more precisely to get you the best outcome! Our system allows us to scan your teeth in no more than three minutes. From this scan, we create precise Invisalign aligners that fit your teeth perfectly.

iTero Scanner

Dr. Travelle excels at using the most innovative technology to treat patients in the most precise, comfortable and efficient way possible. With this commitment in mind, our patients can say goodbye to old-school dental impressions—no messy putty in your mouth!

Not only is this system more patient friendly, it also ensures a more accurate model and provides a more comfortable patient experience.  Our patients watch first hand as their models are generated on screen as we scan. You can even see your Invisalign outcome simulation before you start treatment!

The iTero element is an intraoral scanner that captures 6000 frames per second!  The optical technology allows us to continuously scan your gums and teeth with a small hand-held wand.  Your scan is immediately displayed on the screen; which means you see what we do, this allows for significantly improved chairside communication.

The radiation-free laser scans your mouth in under three minutes and creates a digitally rendered, 3D impression of your teeth and gums.  The software allows you to watch as we scan and develop a 3D model of teeth on the screen.

* CEREC® CAD/CAM Omnicam

CEREC stands for CEramic REConstruction and is a sophisticated system of designing and making high quality, metal-free dental restorations in one patient visit. CEREC utilizes 3D photography and CAD/CAM technology to assist a dentist in designing a virtual restoration (Onlay, Inlay or Crown) without taking impressions and, when combined with a milling unit, is able to build the actual restoration while you are still in the chair.

The CEREC Process

During your appointment at Travelle Family Dentistry we will discuss the details of the procedure and your doctor will answer any questions you may have. Your doctor will then use a special 3D imaging camera to take a 3D model of your tooth. Using CEREC’s software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth’s appropriate form and function. Then, CEREC will use diamond burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Why Choose CEREC?

There are many advantages of using CEREC over traditional crown technology.

Time: CEREC crowns are made in one visit, saving you considerable time away from your job and family.

Comfort: With CEREC, there is no need for a temporary crown, eliminating significant potential discomfort.

Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of CEREC restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function, and closely match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the traditional method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay beautiful for years!

* Nitrous Oxide Gas:

Although not new, nitrous oxide (a.k.a. “laughing gas”) is available.

* BOOST Whitening:

Whitening is an extremely popular cosmetic procedure. This in-office tooth whitening yields dramatic results in a short time making it superior to over the counter products. Combine the bleaching gel, the energy of the activation mix, and a one-hour office visit and you will leave with a brighter, whiter smile.

* Intra-oral cameras:

Have you ever wondered what the dentist was really seeing while looking in your mouth? We use an ultra-small digital camera connected to a TV monitor to show you the state of your teeth. It helps you understanding what is really wrong, how it can be fixed, and see the results. That peace of mind is extremely important.

* Digital Radiography:

New systems allow taking x-rays that display on a computer monitor. Not only can you see your x-rays better but you will be exposed to 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays.

We hope to provide a total dental experience you will not forget. If you are looking for a qualified dentist to meet your needs in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, we warmly invite you to visit Travelle Family Dentistry. Schedule your comprehensive consultation with our expert team today.
